All contractors were issued a notice to proceed on June 5, 2012. Their construction is to be substantially complete by July 30, 2013 and all construction completed by August 29, 2013.
Division 1 – Commonwealth Excavating has begon installing 22,000 linear feet of 16”, underground water line. By July 3, 2012 they had progressed from the water plant to the west side of Osage Lane. After the July 4th holiday, he will install the second an parallel line from the plant to Osage Lane and begin laying up the hill towards Route 60. The contractor plans to use the rock trencher as he goes up the hill to Route 60.
Division 2 – Mid-Atlantic Storage Systems will build a 1.0 million gallon ground storage water tank on top of Grassy Ridge up from Two Sons Lane. Their first item of work will be preparing the site including the access road to the tank site. Atkins Excavating has been subcontracted to do this site work.
Division 3 –Anderson Construction will build a 3.0 MGD pump station beside the Enfield Tank. They will also change the finished water pumps at the Water Treatment Plant. They plan to begin site work near the Enfield Tank in early August 2012.
